Midnight Sun Guitar Festival is the first international guitar festival of its kind to be held in Iceland. It offers concerts, masterclasses and workshops, and is to be held annually in Reykjavík, Iceland. The artistic directors Svanur Vilbergsson and Ögmundur Þór Jóhannesson would like to welcome you to our festival of diversity and emergence of young talent in probably the most exciting and beautiful environment possible. Reykjavík, the world's most northern capital, is a vibrant cultural city surrounded by breathtaking scenic nature and many of our most precious natural wonders, including the famous Geysir and Þingvellir, a world heritage site, once housing the oldest extant parliamentary institution in the world, situated where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, perhaps also symbolically making Iceland a cultural meeting point between the continents of the western world.
